An enchanting image of a terrier running through a field of poppies has won the coveted Dog Photographer of the Year Award 2010. 16 year old Jennie Shelton from Shropshire beat off stiff competition from people of all ages and from around the world to win the competition:

Tim Flach, guest judge of the Kennel Club Dog Photographer of the year competition said: “Jennie has presented us with a real sense of the decisive moment; this picture has vitality in colour as well as spirit.” Jennie will now spend a day out with professional dog photographer Marc Henrie as part of her prize and her winning image will be on the front cover of the December issue of the Kennel Gazette.

Pixum sponsored a 12″ photo enlargement for all entrants of the photo competition as well as an 12″x16″ Acrylic Print for the overall winner. The other category winners also received Photo Books and Photo Mugs from Pixum.
