An experience of a lifetime!!! Whale and Dolphin watching in Ireland, July 2009. Something I’d wanted to do for SUCH a long time! We took a trip with Whale Watch West Cork – saw beautiful scenery, harbour porpoises, and a minke whale (unfortunately I didn’t get a shot of the whale or porpoises, but my boyfriend did!!!). Absolutely beautiful! We then went on a boat trip in Dingle Bay, where Fungi the dolphin rode the bow waves (see photo-dorsal fin in waves!)

I went to Westonbirt Arboretum in England with my mum, nan and uncle for the day to walk my Norweigian Elkhounds and to look at the different tree textures and colours. Was beautiful.

This year we had a wonderful family holiday in Tenerife July 2009. We had a chance of a Lifetime to swim with Dolphins at the aqua park. Some of these Dolphins have been rescued after shark attacks and are very well looked after by staff.

Last summer we spent two beautiful weeks in France. The weather and countryside were great. The quiet evenings we spent at the beach of the rich and famous. Then we had the sand for ourselves to watch the sunset and listen to the waves coming ashore. Unfortunately our car broke down and we had to leave France earlier than planned. We phoned for a rental car and drove back home, leaving our beloved BMW behind to be repatriated by the ANWB.

Our family holiday was on the Isle of Wight this year and what a wonderful island it is with all it’s hidden treasures. So clean and friendly. Beautiful views. Pretty quaint villages. So much fun to be had and things to do. Of course the weather was changeable, making the most of the sunshine and dry bits is all part of the Great British holiday, isn’t it?
